When I first saw you

I didn’t know I would never see you again

When I first heard the symphony of your voice

I never knew I would be deprived of it

When you first touched me

It was forever but for an instant

When I closed my eyes I could feel you

But when open couldn’t see you

They always talked about you

But now they are silent as if you never existed

As if we never existed

You were real

I know you were

But now it’s as if it was all a dream

A beautiful dream

Which turned into a nightmare as you faded away

Since I last saw you

My memories of you have slowly faded

It was painful when I thought of you

But now I feel nothing when I do

I wasn’t sure

But now I’m sure

I’m finally over you
